I really have enjoyed my experience with Twitter in this class so far. I have not been interacting with that many students in class yet but I hope to as the semester goes on and there are more assignments, Twitter will be a good way to ask questions and connect with them outside of class. I have been using Twitter more as a news source to keep updated with the new ways technology is being used in education and that has been interesting especially because I will be a teacher within the next 4 years and could be using some of this new technology. In my future career as a teacher I could see myself using Twitter with other educators to learn creative ways to teach. There are so many teachers across the country with new and fun ideas and Twitter is a great platform to connect with them to build my own repertoire.

The digital divide can affect student success in school because students that have technology more readily available for them have more resources when completing assignments and may also be more prepared for using technology in higher education and the workforce. A cause of digital divide is the socioeconomic situation a student is in, because if they do not have as much money they may not have a computer or wifi at home. As a classroom teacher I may have students without access to technology at home, and this will affect the way I teach by making me incorporate technology in the classroom more than outside of the classroom to prevent kids from falling behind or feeling out of place.

I could see myself using educational games such as puzzles for vocabulary very often in my classroom because I want to be a kindergarten teacher so introducing them to learning in a fun way is crucial for the rest of their education. I do not see myself using online encyclopedias and atlases because that may be a little above what my students can understand and would be more useful to kids in higher grades.
