I think I will use reporting tools such as excel when working as a kindergarten teacher in order to keep track of grades. By using a spreadsheet I will have access to it easily online and it leaves less room for error then the older method of keeping a physical gradebook. I can also use it to keep track of contact information for the parents of my students. Being a kindergarten teacher I will be working with kids that might not be used to being away from how for long periods of time so I will need to keep parents updated on how their child is doing and having it all easily accessible will make that process go smooth.

When reviewing my classmates blogs I really enjoyed looking at the creative aspects they produced throughout the course, specifically the newsletter and PowerPoint. These gave me ideas that I can use as a future teacher and I was able to see a glimpse of how a personal learning network would work in an education setting.

I would like to learn how to use more of the high tech education related technology that's now being used in classrooms. It usually takes me a little longer to adapt to new technology so I think by learning now as an undergraduate student I can be ahead of the game when it comes to looking for a job later on. The tech sandbox is something I can go to more often to learn about the new technology and practice with it so I am prepared to use it when in a classroom.
